International architects contributed to the harbor's development, including Charles Moore, John Ruble, and Buzz Yudell, who won the design competition in 1980.

The Grumbach City Villa incorporates cylindrical staircases and semi-circular floor plans, while the Stern Villa draws inspiration from 19th-century architecture.
