Schiffsmuseum Trokadero Marina, Harbor museum in Palaio Faliro, Greece
The Trokadero Marina harbor museum displays military ships, submarines, and maritime exhibits within an open-air park setting near Athens.
The museum features the armored cruiser Georgios Averoff, which served in both World Wars from 1911 to 1955 and measures 140 meters in length.
The collection includes a reconstructed Athenian trireme from the 5th century BC, demonstrating ancient Greek naval engineering and maritime capabilities.
Visitors can reach the museum via tram routes 1 and 3 at Trokantero stop, with opening hours from Wednesday to Friday 9:00-14:00 and weekends 10:00-17:00.
The destroyer Velos, exhibited at the museum, made history in 1973 when its captain left a NATO exercise to protest against the Greek military regime.
