Schiffsmuseum Trokadero Marina

The Trokadero Marina harbor museum in Palaio Faliro displays actual military vessels, submarines, and maritime equipment across a large open site. Visitors can walk around authentic warships from different eras and explore them up close.

The museum was established to preserve naval vessels that served Greece during important conflicts of the 20th century. These ships played a role in Greek maritime history across two world wars and regional tensions.

A destroyer called Velos is displayed here, and its captain took control of the ship in 1973 during a NATO exercise and sailed it westward to protest against the Greek military regime. This bold action makes the vessel a symbol of personal resistance in Greek history.
