Diagoras Stadium

Diagoras Stadium is a soccer venue in Rhodes with a U-shaped design featuring stands on three sides and a cycling track that circles the playing field. The facility can accommodate up to 8,500 spectators and sits adjacent to the southern section of medieval walls.

The stadium was built in 1932 during Italian occupation and originally named Arena Del Sole. It later took the name of Diagoras, an ancient Olympic champion from Rhodes.

The seating arrangement displays green-white and blue-red colors that represent the two local clubs Diagoras and Rhodes, which call this facility home. These colors reflect the strong connection between the stadium and the community's sports identity.

The facility retains original Italian architectural elements from its 1930s construction. The stone walls underwent restoration in 2020 using the exact same historical materials that were employed during the original building.
