The museum occupies a two-story stone building with brick upper floor and wooden tiled roof in the mountainous village of Melas.
The structure, formerly owned by the Kantzakis family, marks the location where military officer Pavlos Melas died in combat against Ottoman forces in 1904.
The museum displays traditional objects from the Kantzakis family collection alongside uniforms and photographs of fighters from the Florina and Kastoria regions.
Visitors reach the museum by traveling 16 kilometers from the provincial road connecting Florina to Kastoria through the Korestia region.
The interior maintains the original layout of an early twentieth-century folk house, presenting the exact setting where the historical events occurred.
