Serpieri Mansion, Neoclassical mansion in Panepistimiou Street, Athens, Greece.
The three-story Serpieri Mansion features pilasters with Ionic capitals on the first and second floors and Doric capitals on the third floor.
The mansion, completed in 1881, belonged to Giovanni Baptista Serpieri, an Italian mineralogist who managed local mines in the Athens region.
The interior holds Renaissance decorations and Greek mythology references, including relief work depicting the head of goddess Athena and mining scenes.
The building structure incorporates separate entrances and spaces to accommodate residential, business, and banking functions within the same complex.
During the construction, workers discovered four ancient sarcophagi beneath the site, with three now exhibited at the National Archaeological Museum.
