Nea Philadelphia Grove, Municipal park in Nea Filadelfeia, Greece
Nea Philadelphia Grove is a municipal park stretching between Nea Filadelfeia and Nea Ionia with large green spaces and numerous walking and cycling paths. The grounds feature interconnected routes that link different sections of the park.
Tree planting began in 1914 on a barren hillside next to the Podoniftis stream, with additional reforestation efforts following in 1948. These two phases gradually shaped the park into its present form.
A summer open-air cinema has operated within the park since 1959, serving as a gathering place for neighbors. Locals regularly use the space for evening entertainment during warm months.
Two entrances along Dekeleias Avenue provide access to the park, both near bus and trolley stops for convenient public transport arrival. Visitors can reach the grounds easily by regular services.
A lake with a distinctive windmill and fountains was created in 1966 and remains a central feature that draws visitors. The water installation has become an iconic landmark within the grounds.
