Aghia Anna beach, Beach on Naxos, Greece
Aghia Anna beach is a long sandy beach on the island of Naxos, Greece, running alongside Agios Prokopios to form a continuous shoreline. At the southern end, a small fishing port sits right on the water, giving the beach a mixed character between a working harbor and a tourist shore.
Aghia Anna was originally a small fishing settlement built around the port that still stands today. Over the decades, growing tourism on Naxos gradually transformed the area into a busy beach destination while keeping the harbor in use.
The beach is about 6 miles (roughly 10 km) from Naxos Town and easy to reach by bus, car, or bike along a paved road. Arriving in the morning gives you the best chance of finding a spot on the organized section, which fills up quickly in summer.
A water taxi runs directly from the beach to Piso Livadi on the nearby island of Paros, making it possible to island-hop without taking a large ferry. Most visitors do not realize this crossing is available right from the shore.
