Gare des Brotteaux

The Gare des Brotteaux is a former railway station in the 6th arrondissement featuring stone facades decorated with plant motifs, crests, and mosaics. The building has large windows and a central hall that give it an open, organized structure.

The station began operating in 1908 and closed in 1983 when railway services moved to the new Gare de la Part-Dieu. This shift happened to accommodate the city's growing transportation needs.

The building now houses an auction house, restaurant, and offices, continuing to serve as a gathering place for the community. Visitors can see how the space maintains its role as a social and commercial hub.

The former station is located in the Brotteaux district with good access to public transportation and nearby dining options. Keep in mind that the interior now serves other purposes and can only be viewed from outside.
