Tour Swiss Life, Office skyscraper in La Part-Dieu district, Lyon, France
Tour Swiss Life is an office building with 21 floors and a height of 82 meters (269 feet) located in the La Part-Dieu business district. Large glass fronts dominate the facade and reflect the surrounding urban environment.
The building was completed in 1990 after original plans for a height of 120 meters (394 feet) were rejected by the city council. This modification shaped the final form of the modern structure.
The tower shapes the modern look of the business district with its reflective blue exterior that stands out among the surrounding office buildings.
The tower has six elevators serving all floors, and the main entrance is accessible from level -1 through a connecting bridge. This makes movement inside and access from outside straightforward.
At the base of the tower stands a metal sculpture called 'Main Tendue' created by artist Arman in 1989, bearing the inscription 'Société Suisse'. This artwork is a distinctive feature of the plaza in front of the building.
