Aqueduc de l'Yzeron, Roman aqueduct in Craponne, France.

The Yzeron aqueduct features multiple water collection branches that converge at specific points in Grézieu-la-Varenne and Craponne.

The construction of the aqueduct began in the early first century during Augustus's reign to supply water to the ancient city of Lugdunum.

The remains of the aqueduct display Roman construction techniques with a double siphon system and pillars still standing at Le Tourillon.

Visitors can follow the aqueduct's path on a 10-kilometer trail that provides opportunities to examine different sections of this ancient structure.

The hydraulic system generated a daily flow between 12,000 and 15,000 cubic meters of water, with a steeper gradient than other Lyon aqueducts.
