Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation du Barroux

The Abbaye Notre-Dame-de-l'Annonciation du Barroux is a Benedictine monastery located in a rural village in the Vaucluse region. The monastery houses a small community of nuns who live and work in buildings spread across the estate grounds.

The monastery was founded in 1979 when a small group of women chose to establish a Benedictine community. It received official abbey status from the Church in 1992.
