The structure, originally established as a Benedictine priory in the 11th century, was linked to Saint-Siffrein Cathedral of Carpentras in 1502 by Pope Alexander VI.
The chapel hosts a traditional pilgrimage on July 22nd where participants wear Comtat Venaissin regional costumes to celebrate Saint Mary Magdalene's feast.
Visits to the chapel require advance reservation at +33 6 63 92 94 16, with an additional fee of 3 euros for monument entry.
The square bell tower from the 12th century extends the eastern gable wall of the chapel and features a dome-shaped roof.
