Researchers and historians access records spanning five centuries, including notarial documents, aristocratic family papers, and materials from the French Revolution.
The archives receive visitors Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, with weekend hours from 2 PM to 5:30 PM, excluding Tuesdays.
The facility expanded in 2013 with a new building containing 320 kilometers of shelving space to accommodate growing collections of national documents.
