Meyzieu

Meyzieu is a commune in the Lyon metropolitan area, stretching across multiple kilometers with residential neighborhoods on one side and a significant industrial zone on the other. The town lies between 170 and 250 meters in elevation and combines everyday residential life with economic activity.

The commune developed as a residential destination from the early 1900s onward, drawing more people through rail connections and later modern transport links. This growth transformed it into the contemporary suburb it is today.

The water sports area of Grand Large shapes the northwest and is used by residents for sailing and fishing activities. The location has become a gathering place for people who enjoy water and outdoor recreation.

This location is easily reached from central Lyon via the T3 tram line and the Rhônexpress service, with airport connections following shortly after. Visitors using public transportation generally find their way easily and can explore different areas without difficulty.
