Place du Vieux-Marché, Central square in Rouen, France.

The Place du Vieux-Marché features modern buildings with timber-framed facades surrounding a large open space in the center of Rouen.

Joan of Arc met her end at this location on May 30, 1431, when she was burned at the stake during the Hundred Years War.

The Church of Saint-Jeanne-d'Arc, designed by Louis Arretche in 1979, stands at the square with its distinct angular architecture and stained glass windows.

The square contains numerous restaurants, cafes, public benches, and a dedicated area for outdoor markets that operate throughout the week.

Original stained glass panels from the former Church of Saint-Vincent were integrated into the modern Church of Saint-Jeanne-d'Arc during its construction.
