Les Aspres

Les Aspres is a small commune in Normandy located within the Orne department, situated in gently rolling countryside. The village spreads across open farmland and woodland, with houses scattered throughout rather than concentrated in one area.

This commune developed through the agricultural heritage and administrative reorganization that shaped rural France during the 1800s. It remains rooted in farming traditions and is now part of the canton of Moulins-la-Marche.

The commune forms part of the Natura 2000 conservation network, incorporating sections of the Forêts et étangs du Perche natural area.

The municipal office at the village center handles local services and information for visitors. The gently rolling terrain makes walking around fairly easy, especially during the warmer months.

The population of Les Aspres has maintained steady growth from 536 inhabitants in 1968 to approximately 620 residents in 2022.
