City of Space, Space theme park and astronautical museum in Toulouse, France
The Cité de l'espace extends across 5 hectares with replicas of spacecraft, including the Mir station and the Ariane 5 rocket at full scale.
The space center opened in 1997 as a testament to Toulouse's aerospace industry, establishing itself as France's primary facility for space science education.
The planetarium and IMAX theater present astronomical phenomena, space missions, and scientific discoveries through modern projection technologies and expert presentations.
The facility provides parking for 500 vehicles, restaurants, picnic areas, and complete wheelchair access throughout all exhibition spaces and attractions.
Visitors can experience simulated astronaut training, access a Mars rover control room, and examine actual spacecraft components used in European space missions.
