Château de Pourtalès, Historical castle in Robertsau district, Strasbourg, France.

The Château de Pourtalès stands on a large estate with gardens, featuring 48 rooms and multiple event spaces within its stone walls.

Built in 1750 as a manor house for Joseph Guérault, the castle underwent major transformations in 1802 when Baron Paul-Athanase Renouard de Bussierre acquired it.

Between 1870 and 1914, Comtesse Mélanie de Pourtalès hosted numerous European dignitaries, artists, and royalty, including Franz Liszt and Napoleon III.

The castle functions as a hotel with modern amenities, including a wellness center, conference facilities, and a restaurant serving continental breakfast.

During World War II, the property was confiscated and later served as student housing for Schiller International University from 1972 to the early 2000s.
