Château d'Ollwiller

Château d'Ollwiller is a heritage château in Wuenheim that operates as a working wine producer growing varieties such as Crémant d'Alsace and Riesling Grand Cru. The estate spans agricultural land with south-facing slopes and uses its marly soil to cultivate wines that carry regional designations.

The château was founded in 1230 by the Waldner family as a property for the Bishop of Strasbourg and has shaped the region ever since. After its destruction during World War I, the building was reconstructed and remains an active estate today.

The château represents a blend of aristocratic residence and working wine estate that shaped how people in Alsace think about vineyard properties. Walking through the grounds, you can sense how the building and the surrounding vines were always meant to function together.
