Château de Cordès

Château de Cordès is a castle set within a 9-hectare park featuring formal French gardens, a pond, and multiple outbuildings including stables and a farmhouse. The property encompasses numerous rooms and structures developed over several centuries.

The castle was built in 1268 by Guillaume de Chalus and remained under his family's ownership for four centuries until Emmanuel d'Allègre acquired it in 1659. This change of ownership marked a new chapter in the property's history.

The castle interior contains a marble altarpiece from the 16th century and displays the sculptured tomb of Yves II among its twelve bedrooms and reception halls.

A five-meter-high corridor of hornbeam trees leads to the entrance, where two formal gardens feature water basins and a labyrinth with roses at its center. This garden design creates an intentional path through the grounds.
