Futuroscope

Futuroscope is a theme park in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou and Jaunay-Marigny, France, focused on multimedia and technological experiences. Its sixteen buildings, each with a distinct architectural concept, house attractions that blend cinema, virtual reality, and interactive installations.

The park opened on May 31, 1987, introducing a new concept that merged cinema technology with immersive experiences in a leisure setting. Over the years, it continuously expanded its offerings with new technologies and attractions to present visitors with current media formats.

The park aims to make science and technology accessible to a broad audience, with each installation designed to spark curiosity through playful interaction. Families often use the rides as an opportunity to discover new media formats together and discuss how they work.

Several hotels and restaurants are located directly on-site, allowing visitors to plan their stay flexibly. Combination packages provide access to both the main park and the Aquascope water attraction, making planning easier.

The Dance avec les Robots attraction lifts participants up to seven meters (about 23 feet) using robotic arms that move in sync with music. This combination of choreography and engineering creates an unusual movement experience rarely found elsewhere.
