The Cathedral of Saint Benignus features pointed arches, ribbed vaults, and flying buttresses, extending 68 meters in length and 29 meters in width.
Construction of the cathedral began in 1280, following the destruction of a previous church, and the building received its official consecration in 1393.
The cathedral contains an 18th-century organ and hosts regular religious ceremonies, musical performances, and cultural gatherings throughout the year.
Visitors can access the cathedral daily from 9 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6:30 PM, with modified hours until 5:30 PM on Saturdays.
The underground crypt preserves a three-story rotunda from the year 1000, featuring colored marble flooring and sculpted capitals in the martyrium.
