Château de la Madeleine, Historical castle in Pressagny-l'Orgueilleux, France.

The Château de la Madeleine features four distinct wings around a central courtyard, displaying neogothic, monumental, neo-Renaissance, and irregular architectural facades.

The site hosted a priory dedicated to Mary Magdalene in 1129, before the construction of the first castle in 1772 by Abbot Charles Morin du Marais Vernier.

French poet Casimir Delavigne resided in this estate between 1824 and 1839, during which he composed several literary works in this Norman setting.

The castle and its 11-hectare park, registered as historical monuments since 2002, require continuous restoration work carried out by the current owners.

Architect Francisco Gianotti added an Art Deco wing to the castle in 1932, creating an unusual architectural combination for a Norman historical building.
