Abbey of Saint-Germain d'Auxerre

Abbey of Saint-Germain d'Auxerre is a monastery complex in the city with a Gothic-style church and older underground chambers from the Carolingian period. An octagonal stone spire crowns the Saint Jean tower, giving the site a distinctive silhouette that dates back to the 12th century.
