Musée de la Camargue

The Musée de la Camargue presents exhibitions about the regional environment through artifacts, photographs, and multimedia displays in a converted sheep barn.

The museum, inaugurated in 1978 and renovated in 2013, received the official designation of 'musée de France' in 2003, marking its national importance.

The permanent exhibition 'Le fil de l'eau, le fil du temps' documents the relationships between water management, agriculture, and traditional activities in the Camargue region.

The museum maintains seasonal hours, operating from 9:00 to 18:00 between April and September, and from 10:00 to 17:00 from October through March.

Visitors can explore a 5-kilometer interpretation trail around the museum, observing rice fields, marshlands, and local wildlife including black bulls and white horses.
