Peyragudes, Mountain ski resort in Gouaux-de-Larboust, France.
Peyragudes is a ski resort in the French Pyrenees situated between 1600 and 2400 meters elevation. The terrain spreads across east and west-facing mountainsides with more than 50 marked runs for all ability levels.
The resort was created in 1988 through the merger of two separate ski areas, Peyresourde and Les Agudes. This consolidation connected previously divided terrain and expanded winter sports opportunities in the region.
The village of Gouaux-de-Larboust maintains traditional mountain architecture with stone houses, wooden elements, and characteristic slate roofs.
The area is served by around 17 lift systems, including modern chairlifts and a gondola. The infrastructure makes it easy to navigate between different slopes.
Olympic athlete Ingrid Lafforgue, who won the 1970 World Championship slalom in Val Gardena, trained on these slopes with her twin sister.
