Château de Flers

The castle structure features two perpendicular wings, with the oldest section displaying bell-shaped roofs topped with small lanterns from the 16th century.

Built during medieval times as a modest stone and timber structure, the castle underwent major modifications in the 18th century with the addition of a classical facade.

The castle museum contains 4,000 artifacts, including 300 paintings from Italian, French, and Dutch schools, presenting a broad view of Western art.

The museum offers guided tours by appointment for groups, while individual visits are possible during Heritage Days, with free admission throughout the year.

The castle grounds include a bird sanctuary within a protected natural area, established in 1908 in the center of the city.
