Cascade de Sillans

Cascade de Sillans is a waterfall where the Bresque River drops steeply into a rocky valley with steep sides and trees. The main drop reaches about 44 meters into a deep basin that collects the water before it flows downstream.

The village of Sillans-la-Cascade took its name from this waterfall, which has shaped the settlement since early times. The cascade has long been a defining feature of how the community developed and identified itself.

The place draws its name from this natural feature and remains central to how locals think about their village. People gather here during warm months, and the site carries meaning as a symbol of the area's identity.

The path to the waterfall starts from the village parking area and winds through the forest for about 25 minutes. Markers along the way guide you to viewing spots where you can see the cascade safely.

Below the main drop, the water creates a series of smaller steps and natural ledges in the rock. These smaller cascades shift their flow differently depending on the season, creating an ever-changing pattern.
