Château Saint-Antoine, Masonic temple and bastide in 11th arrondissement, Marseille, France
Château Saint-Antoine features a central structure with two lateral wings, inspired by Italian palace architecture and situated on elevated grounds.
The estate began in 1792 when Jean-Baptiste d'Isoard merged two properties, La Miniarde and La Rousse, to create this substantial residence.
Marcel Pagnol incorporated references to Château Saint-Antoine in his literary work Le Château de ma mère, connecting it to French literature.
The renovation project initiated in 2016 allocated 7 million euros to transform the property into a complex with 8 temples and 80 masonic lodges.
The castle displays the coat of arms of Count Guy de Robien with the motto Sans Vanité Ni Faiblesse inscribed upon its facade.
