Château d'Agassac

Château d'Agassac is a medieval fortress and winery near Bordeaux with four round corner towers and a square layout. Two levels of facade frame rectangular wine cellars located within the estate grounds.

The fortress was built in the 13th century and underwent several rebuilding phases over time. Major changes occurred in the 14th, 17th, and 19th centuries, reflecting different architectural periods.

The estate produces wines following Médoc traditions and plays a role in the region's wine culture today. Visitors can see how production and storage in the old cellars connect to current winemaking practices.

The property lies about 15 minutes from Bordeaux and welcomes visitors with guided tours available in multiple languages. Spaces throughout the grounds can be used for events, making it suitable for both private and professional occasions.

The grounds preserve original moats, bridges, and canals that reveal the medieval defense system. A rare circular dovecote stands in the northern area, an old element of the estate complex.
