Château Pichon

Château Pichon is a castle in Parempuyre featuring neo-Renaissance elements arranged in a semicircular plan around a central courtyard. The building blends architectural features from different periods and continues to operate as a working vineyard property.

The original building was constructed in 1601 but was destroyed in 1650 during the Fronde conflict and reconstructed in 1651 by Baron Jacques d'Alesme. This rebuilding launched a new chapter that shaped the property's development.

The estate shows how French noble families connected their castles with wine production and maintained this way of life over centuries. Visitors can see how the building's design and surrounding vineyards form a complete working landscape together.
