Château Dillon, Historical castle and wine estate in Blanquefort, France
Located between the Atlantic Ocean and Garonne River, Château Dillon extends across 35 hectares of vineyards producing Haut-Médoc and IGP Atlantique wines.
Robert Dillon, an Irish nobleman, acquired the property in 1754, while François Seignouret added three Médoc-style gables to the wine cellars in 1840.
The estate functions as an agricultural school, training future winemakers in traditional Bordeaux methods while maintaining wine production and heritage preservation.
The château opens its doors for wine tastings and direct sales, offering a selection of red and rosé wines from different vintages.
The estate earned the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur classification in 2020, marking its excellence in wine production and environmental practices.
