The construction of the castle began in the 16th century under Nicolas de Beauclair and continued until the 18th century with successive modifications.
The Beauclair family crest featured golden stars on a black background and a silver crescent on gold, representing their noble heritage.
The castle remains a private property owned by the François-Marsal family heirs and received historical monument status registration in 1993.
Former deputy Frédéric François-Marsal enhanced the castle grounds by creating gardens and terraces during his ownership period.
