Château de Sedaiges, Medieval castle in Marmanhac, France.

Château de Sedaiges is a medieval fortress with a square main building, three floors, and four round corner towers, surrounded by a six-hectare grounds with orchards and ponds. The structures are arranged around a central courtyard, with residential wings connecting five towers.

The fortress was rebuilt in 1461 after suffering damage during the Hundred Years War, receiving its distinctive arrangement of five connected towers at that time. This reconstruction shaped the structure visible today.

The interior displays tapestries from Flanders and wooden panels from different periods, reflecting how French decorative arts evolved over centuries. These collections allow visitors to see how artistic styles changed through time.

Guided tours are offered in English, Spanish, French, and German, with a maximum group size of 25 people. Visitors should plan ahead to arrange tours in their preferred language and time.

The same family has owned and lived in the castle since 1442, preserving original furniture and decorations from multiple periods within its walls. This continuous ownership over centuries is unusual for a French castle of this type.
