Château de Lordat

Château de Lordat is a ruined fortress perched on a rocky hilltop in the Ariège region. The site preserves stone walls, towers, and an ancient cistern that reveal how the medieval stronghold was structured.

The castle was built around the 9th century and first documented in 970. It served as a strategic stronghold during the medieval conflicts that shaped the region.
