Château d'Héré

Château d'Héré is a castle with a rectangular main building and square towers with crenellations along its longer sides. The entrance is protected by a barbican, a fortified gateway that once served as a first line of defense.

The castle was built in the late 15th century and replaced an earlier structure from the 14th century. Many elements of the older building were incorporated into the new construction and continue to shape its appearance today.
