The Cinematheque de Toulouse occupies a historical building in the College de l'Esquile, featuring multiple screening rooms and extensive film collections.
Founded in 1964 by Raymond Borde and cinema enthusiasts, the institution has grown to house 50,000 film copies and 85,000 movie posters.
The venue organizes over 1,000 screenings annually, including thematic cycles, retrospectives, and festivals such as Extreme Cinema and Outdoor Cinema.
From September 2024 to Spring 2026, screenings continue at Pathe Wilson from Tuesday to Thursday and at Les Abattoirs from Friday to Sunday.
The institution maintains France's largest collection of movie posters and preserves 500,000 production photographs in its Balma conservation center.
