Domaine de Squividan

The Domaine de Squividan features a traditional Breton manor house surrounded by 2.61 hectares of gardens filled with local plant species and elderberry trees.

The manor dates back to 1426 when Jean de Penguily occupied this noble land, which later belonged to the Bénéat family from the 17th to late 18th century.

The museum displays over 1,000 paintings by Émile Simon and 200 works by Madeleine Fié-Fieux, who both lived and created art in this manor during the 20th century.

The museum receives 3,000 visitors annually and presents about 40 selected artworks each year, while the surrounding park remains free and open to the public.

The estate contains tactile panels throughout the gardens that allow visitors to identify and learn about different plant species found on the grounds.
