FICEP, Cultural institution in 5th arrondissement, France
FICEP is a network linking 59 international cultural centers and institutes across Paris to foster exchange between nations. The organization coordinates programs and events offered by member institutions throughout the city.
The network began in 2002 when 31 international cultural centers joined together, inspired by an initiative from the Canadian Cultural Center director at that time. It has since grown to include nearly twice as many member institutions.
Every September, this network brings cultures together across multiple Paris locations with exhibitions, performances, and talks from around the world. Visitors get to see how different traditions share space and interact within the city.
Visitors can use an online platform to find current events, programs, and contact details for member institutions. It helps to check regularly since programming varies throughout the year.
Every June, the Night of Literature takes place with readings happening at the same time across different locations in a chosen Paris neighborhood. This special event weaves literature together with the city's geography.
