The Grand Théâtre de Provence features a main auditorium with 1370 seats and an orchestra pit accommodating 105 musicians within its 8500-square-meter structure.
Italian architect Vittorio Gregotti designed this contemporary theater, which opened its doors in 2007 as part of the Sextius-Mirabeau urban development project.
The theater presents over 100 performances annually, ranging from symphonic concerts and operas to dance productions and circus performances throughout the season.
Located at 380 Avenue Max Juvénal, the theater provides multiple rehearsal rooms and extensive terraces for outdoor performances and public gatherings.
The building's exterior design reflects the silhouette of Mount Sainte-Victoire with its curved lines and sand-colored facade next to the black angular Pavillon Noir.
