Tour Pleyel, Mixed-use skyscraper in Saint-Denis, France.
Tour Pleyel is a 143-meter mixed-use tower with 37 floors combining residential apartments and commercial offices in Saint-Denis. The glass and concrete structure creates a distinctive vertical shape that stands out in the northern part of the Parisian region.
The tower was built in 1973 on the site of former Pleyel et Cie factories. It remains the only completed structure from an original plan that called for four identical buildings.
The tower marks a turning point when the area changed from factories to offices and homes. It has become a landmark for the neighborhood's shift toward modern business activities.
The tower is easily accessible near Carrefour Pleyel Metro station on Line 13. You can view the building's exterior and the surrounding modern district from street level or nearby public spaces.
A large rotating sign sits atop the tower, displaying different corporate logos since 1997 including Philips, Siemens, and Kia Motors. This spinning element makes the building recognizable day and night and adds a dynamic feature to the city's skyline.
