Hôtel Belmont, Private mansion in Questembert, France
The Hotel Belmont features three levels of stone construction with ornate dormer windows and a distinctive slate roof covering the entire structure.
Built during the 15th and 16th centuries, the mansion belonged to the Le Bel family until the 17th century when it passed to the Bellyno family.
The wooden caryatids on the roof overhang, known as Questembert and his wife, represent traditional Breton architectural decorative elements.
The building, located across from the market halls in central Questembert, now contains shops and residential spaces following its 2005 renovation.
At the rear of the mansion stands a turret with an exceptional four-sided roof design where double-curved slopes meet at a central point.
