Hôtel Grou, Neoclassical private mansion in Ile Feydeau, Nantes, France

The Hôtel Grou stands at the corner of Kervégan Street and Petite-Hollande Square, featuring limestone and granite materials in its construction.

Guillaume Grou, a ship owner and royal secretary at the Parliament of Brittany, commissioned this private mansion between 1747 and 1752.

The building represents the architectural preferences of wealthy Nantes merchants during the 18th century, with its ornate facades and interior staircase.

The structure contains two separate entrances: one on Petite-Hollande Square and another at 32 Kervégan Street for rental apartments.

The mansion received two distinct historical monument registrations: one for its facades and roof in 1932, and another for its interior staircase in 1986.
