Le Majestic, Historical residential building in Cimiez, Nice, France.
Le Majestic is a former luxury hotel building in Cimiez with two square towers framing its entrance and detailed Art Deco elements throughout. The structure contains numerous apartments with preserved historical features and original architectural details from its hotel era.
The building was constructed between 1906 and 1908 by architect Jules Febvre in the Belle Epoque style. It was later converted into apartments and received protected monument status in 2021.
The interior spaces show detailed Art Deco craftsmanship through woodwork, stucco, and ironwork that reflects French design from the early 1900s. These decorative elements are visible in the shared areas of the building and give a sense of the luxury and skill from that era.
The building sits at the start of Boulevard de Cimiez, making it easy to reach from the main street of the neighborhood. The apartments are spacious and retain many original architectural features that showcase how the interior looked during its hotel years.
The building preserves its original elevators from the hotel era, which display exceptional technical and decorative qualities of the Belle Epoque period. These elevators remain functional today and offer a rare look at the technological advances of that time.
