Mont Coudon reaches an elevation of 702 meters and forms part of the Monts Toulonnais range, featuring white limestone formations near Toulon.

The mountain holds strategic military importance with Fort Coudon at its summit, which remains an active military base controlling Mediterranean defense operations.

French author George Sand documented her ascent of Mont Coudon in May 1861 within her travel journal titled Voyage dit du Midi.

The mountain climb spans 6.1 kilometers with a 438-meter elevation gain, presenting an average gradient of 7.2 percent for hikers and cyclists.

During specific days with Mistral winds, the summit provides views extending to the snow-covered Alps and occasionally reveals Corsica through light refraction in November.
