Plage de Magaud

Plage de Magaud is a coastal strip with pebbles and rocks set beneath tall cliffs, where pine trees grow and small fishing cottages line the shore. The cove sits naturally protected, bounded by steep rock formations.

The beach sits near the Tour Royale, a coastal fortress from the 16th century that watched over ships on their trade routes. This fortification shaped the area's strategic importance for the region.

The fishing community shapes daily life here, with small boats launching each morning and returning with their catch in the evening. These working traditions give the beach its distinctive character and rhythm.

The beach is reachable by public bus and has basic facilities including a first-aid station on site. Parking is available nearby but fills up quickly on warm days, so arriving early is advisable.

The Customs Officers' trail links this beach to neighboring coves, creating a walkable route along multiple sections of the Toulon coastline. This path offers continuous views of different coastal environments and rock formations.
