Mont-de-Huisnes German war cemetery

Mont-de-Huisnes German war cemetery is a memorial site on a hill near Mont Saint-Michel built as a circular structure containing 68 crypts across two levels. Bronze tablets on the walls of each chamber display the names of the deceased.

This memorial was inaugurated in 1963 to honor approximately 12,000 German soldiers and civilians whose remains were gathered from various locations across western France. The construction served to consolidate and commemorate military and civilian casualties from throughout the region.
