Museum of Fine Arts, Dole, Art museum in Dole, France
The Museum of Fine Arts occupies the Officers' Pavilion, an 18th-century building renovated with concrete balconies and modern architectural elements.
Founded in 1821, the museum relocated in 1980 from the College of Arc and former Jesuit Chapel to its current location.
The collections span from 16th to 19th-century art, featuring Burgundian, French, Italian, and Nordic paintings across three dedicated floors.
Located at 85 rue des Arenes, the museum opens daily from 10 AM to 12 PM and 2 PM to 6 PM, except Monday mornings and Sundays.
The museum reserves contain 4,000 artworks, including 1,200 ancient paintings that underwent preventive restoration over 14 years.
