The five-sided glass building of MuMa Museum stands at the entrance of Le Havre port, letting natural light illuminate its exhibition spaces.
The museum opened in 1961 after the original fine arts museum was destroyed during World War II, with 1,500 paintings saved from the bombardments.
The collection includes numerous works by Impressionist painters, making it the second largest collection of Impressionist art outside of Paris in France.
The museum welcomes visitors from Tuesday to Sunday between 11:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with audioguides available on smartphones for enhanced visits.
MuMa features a monumental sculpture called Le Signal, measuring 22 meters in length and 7 meters in height, integrated into the museum structure.
