Parc aux étoiles

Parc aux Étoiles is a science park in Triel-sur-Seine built within the grounds of Château de la Tour, featuring telescopes, planetarium shows, and interactive exhibits for visitors to explore. Walking through the space, you encounter different stations and outdoor areas where you can observe the sky and learn about astronomical phenomena.

The site began as an observatory in 1973 and was redesigned in 2006 to become a center focused on scientific and technical education. This shift expanded its role from pure observation to engaging the public with broader scientific topics.

Through exhibitions and guided tours, the park connects scientific research with public understanding, making complex astronomical concepts clear to visitors.

The grounds are easy to walk around and include areas where you can start observing during the day. For the best experience with telescopes or planetarium shows, checking opening times and programs in advance is helpful.

A mobile unit called Véhicule Léonard travels to different communities, bringing planetarium experiences and sky observation opportunities to people who cannot visit the park itself. This traveling facility makes astronomical education accessible to communities far from the main site.
